Corona virus breaks records, 526 deaths due to infection in five days
The number of new corona virus infections and deaths in the country has broken records. In the last five days 526 people have died, while more than 11 thousand people have been infected. At the same time, the worldwide death toll has crossed 2.5 million.
According to the Union Health Ministry, during the last twenty-four hours (Monday to Tuesday evening), a record 194 people died of corona while 3,875 people have been infected. The total number of corona patients in the country has increased to 46,711 while the death toll has risen to 1,583. The Health Ministry said that 1,020 people have been cured in the country in 24 hours, taking the number of cured people to 12,726. Now the recovery rate has come down to 27.41 percent.
206 new cases in Delhi : The number of corona infected in Delhi has reached 5014. In the last 24 hours, 206 new cases have been reported, while 37 people have recovered and gone home.
In these states, the infection rate increased: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal are witnessing a spurt of new cases. Compared to the previous day, the rate of infection in Tamil Nadu and Punjab is higher than the national average. The infection rate is 14.30% in Tamil Nadu, 17.77% in Punjab.
133 deaths in West Bengal: The highest number of deaths occurred in four states. Of these, 583 deaths have been recorded in Maharashtra, 319 in Gujarat, 176 in Madhya Pradesh and 133 in West Bengal.
