Jharkhand High Court serious on death of two babies in womb in two days, summoned report from state government
In Ranchi, the High Court has taken seriously the death of two babies conceived in two days and has sought a response from the government. After the report published in the newspapers, two judges took cognizance of this and sought a response from the government.
The bench headed by Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan, taking cognizance of the matter, directed the Advocate General to present the inquiry report to the court by May 12, while the court of Justice Dr. SN Pathak taking cognizance of the Health Secretary, RIMS Director, Civil Surgeon. And made the Ranchi district administration a defendant and directed the case to be transferred to the Chief Justice's bench.
Taking the cognizance, the court of Justice SN Pathak said that in such cases the court cannot close its eyes. The people of the state cannot be left dependent on God. The job of the government is also to protect the rights of the people. The court has sought answers from the state government in the entire case. The court has said that treating someone in emergency is his fundamental right. In such a situation, how can we compensate for the loss caused by the death of the child in the womb. Providing health facilities is a constitutional right of the state government. The court, in its order, said that government hospitals are run by the state government. He has a duty to treat all the people who reach the hospital staff. If they do not do so, they violate the fundamental rights of the patient.
On the other hand, the court of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad expressed displeasure while hearing the PIL related to Corona and said that two such incidents happened in two days which is very sad. This is an incident that hurts everyone's heart. The court ordered the government to conduct an inquiry showing seriousness on this and to ensure that such an incident does not happen again in future. On May 12, the court directed the case to submit an investigation report.
The court asked the advocate general why private hospitals were closed. Why are these hospitals not being treated? At this, Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan told the court that the government has already ordered an inquiry into both these incidents. Private hospitals stopped OPD and treatment after the corona infection spread. Now a new directive from the Union Home Ministry has come. It calls for private hospitals to start OPD and treatment. The state government has also ordered all private hospitals to start medical facilities. She was sanitized after the corona infection at Sadar Hospital nurses and a pregnant woman in Rheims found sanitation and closed the maternity ward for a few days. Under the alternative arrangement, the Doranda Health Center has been kept ready for this.
