Telangana government extended corona lockdown till 29 May, curfew will be imposed in entire state from 7 pm
In view of the Corona crisis, the Telangana government has decided to extend the lockdown in the state till 29 May. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced to pursue the lockdown in the state. Along with advancing the lockdown, the Chief Minister has told the people of the state that they should purchase essential items by 6 pm. After this people have to stay at home.

Whereas 585 people have either recovered or they have been discharged from the hospital. So far, 29 people have died due to corona virus in the state.

At the same time, on Tuesday, opposition parties protested at various places, accusing the Telangana government of providing sufficient relief to the farmers during the lockdown and failing to buy their produce. Congress organized 'Satyagraha' against the state government in its state headquarters and district offices. Uttam Kumar Reddy told reporters that the Chandrasekhar Rao-led government had completely failed to buy a variety of agricultural produce.
He pointed out that the problem facing migrant workers is the biggest humanitarian issue in the country. He appealed to the party leaders to help those who want to return to their homes. He alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government was not adequately investigating the corona virus infection. TDP state unit president L Ramana and other leaders staged a 'silent demonstration'. The party performed this at the party office from 10 am to 12 noon. The party demanded the government to provide relief to the needy farmers. The Telangana Jana Samiti also held similar protests in its offices.
