Samsung is working on a feature similar to the iPhone's feature airdrop. The name of this feature can be Quick Share. With the help of this feature, Samsung users will be able to send files up to 2 GB easily.
New Delhi: On the lines of AirDrop, the sharing feature of Apple iPhone, Samsung is also preparing to bring one such feature in its upcoming handset soon. In a new report by XDA Developers, the smartphone maker Samsung is working on such a sharing feature. According to the report, the name of this feature can be Quick Share.
XDA Developers report states, 'We have got its APK file through one of our sources, which has access to Galaxy S20 + 5G. This app is not visible in any other One UI 1.0 / 1.5 or One UI 2 device. ' This feature will work exactly like the feature airdrop of iPhone.
According to the report, there was an option to install this feature APK in many Galaxy devices but it is not functional in all devices. The report says, 'This APK was not meant for our test devices, so it is not a surprise to not do its work.'
The Quick Share feature will work in two ways. First, by selecting Contacts only in the settings of this feature, only the contacts present in the mobile will be able to share the file, while on selecting the option of everyone, all the supported devices will be able to scan it. To use this feature, Samsung users will have to save the file in the Samsung Cloud for some time, after which this file will be streamed on Samsung Smart Things devices. With the help of this feature, users will be able to share files up to 2GB.
